"Before House of Hope I was a wreck. My mom had tried getting me secular therapy but it just didn't help. She had heard of H.O.H. and decided to try it, and I'm so glad she did. I came into their little office building in Charlottesville with many issues, like self-harm and severe depression, yet little by little I began to make progress. I began to make baby steps towards my healing and soon I could see the progress for myself. I was learning to not believe lies I'd convinced myself were true and to respect myself and my family, in that everyone has a different perspective. After what seemed like forever, and many bowls of M&M's, I could begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel of my depression, and I completely stopped cutting. My counselor truly showed me Christ's love for us even when we think it’s not there, which for that I'm forever grateful, and I made an amazing friend. H.O.H. is truly amazing."

"When I started going to House of Hope for help, I was in a really rough place in my life. However, Belinda helped me work through a lot of that and I'm in a much better state of mind. I thought that I wouldn't get much help or that this would be a waste of time, but I was completely wrong. The people at HOH are nice and caring and they offer great help and support to anyone who needs it. The counselors there have really changed my life and I am extremely grateful to them."

-From a Teen

The Parenting Class, “Boundaries with Kids/Teens” offered practical guidance from a Biblical view, and I really appreciated that.  It gave insight and provided help about a couple of specific instances I was dealing with. It was very worth our time!
